Bev Michielson, BioBev Michielson inherited her talent from a musical family and from her mother who was a piano teacher. She marks her singing career as having begun at age 13 on a bus ride home from a Billy Graham crusade where she sang her rendition of 'Amazing Grace'. Labeled as 'most talented' in high school, she performed and won talent awards and the crown in several Junior Miss contests, including a chance to perform in the Miss Michigan Junior Miss Pageant.
Throughout her career, she has blended a host of volunteer service projects with her professional singing. She has volunteered for Hospice, where she was inspired to write her very first song and CD entitled "Through Me." She then founded "Through Me Ministries" as a means of coordinating all of her involvements. She has performed at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, at both their services and at their annual "Care Conference" held during the month of March. She has performed at the "Ocean Opry House" in Panama City, Florida. She provides inspiration to those with disabilities, illness and loss. She has been asked to be a part of the Joni Eareckson Tada Disability Ministries. After writing her children's CD entitled "KINDer Kids," she began giving assemblies to parochial and public school systems, teaching and singing about attributes of care and kindness.
The remarkable aspect of all this professional activity is that Bev Michielson is able to function at all, since she suffers from an incurable, debilitating and progressive disease of the nerves called Peripheral Neuropathy. Though diagnosed several years ago, and despite her need for daily drug and physical therapy, she is actively working as a songwriter, speaker and publisher, as well as performer.
